I’m going out of town for the weekend so I have to make these picks quick this week. Cross your fingers and wish me luck.

I would have picked the Niners over the Bears

I can’t believe I forgot to put this pick up in time. I took it for a loss though…

Titans over Bills

It’s the Underachievers Bowl.

New Orleans over Saint Louis

Seriously, there should be some sort of blowout rule like in little league. This game could be over after the first quarter.

Miami beats Tampa

Unless they’re wearing the ugliest throwback jerseys in the world I can’t see Tampa winning.

Minnesota over Detroit

Is this easy pick week? Can’t complain, gives me more time to get ready for my road trip.

Giants over Jags

It’s possible for the Jags to win this one but the Giants should be better coached and are less likely to beat themselves…I think.

Bengals lose to the Steelers

I know the Bengals are the hot team, but I feel like the Steelers are finally poised to take back the top of the division. This is the most watchable division in football (as long as the Browns are not playing).

Denver over Washington

I wonder if Jay Cutler needs to borrow Gob Bluth’s catchphrase, “I’ve made a huge mistake.”

Carolina over Atlanta

I’m feeling good about the Panthers this week.

Kansas City over Oakland

This might be the Underachievers Bowl, but nobody really had high expectations for them.

Green Bay over Dallas

I’m still waiting for this whole Cowboys being a good team thing to be over. Romo’s bound to choke eventually.

Arizona over Seattle

The Cards are gaining some momentum, watch out for a nice playoff run.

Philly over SD

To be honest I’m running out of time and just went with my gut on this one.

Indy over the Pats

Great Sunday night football matchup, this is the one to watch. The Colts are tough and I just can’t see the Pats pulling out a win on this one. It will be a good game though.

Ravens over Browns

Horrible MNF matchup. This is not the primtime exposure the Browns would want. They are not going to look good.

Have a good week, enjoy some football.

Falcons over Redskins

Face it, the Redskins aren’t winning any upset games this season. Even though he is talented Jason Campbell is going to lose his job. The Redskins are the most disappointing team in the league.

Bears beat Cards

This is going to be a close game. I think these teams matchup well and the main reason I’m choosing the Bears is because they have home field advantage. Winning in Chicago can be tough for a team that plays in Arizona.

Ravens over the Cardiac Cats

This week five matchup was amazing. The Bengals are a good team and could very well win this game. But I’m going with the Ravens monster offense in this one. The Ravens want this win after getting a game taken from them. My bet would be this game won’t be as close as the last but it will be a good test for the Bengals.

Texans over Colts

Alright, half of my decision of picking the Texans is because whenever I want to pick against them I’m wrong. I think this game could be a shoot out. Matt Schaub and the Texans will find a way to spread the ball around (even with Owen Daniels out). The Texans have a good receiving core and can pass. Peyton Manning and the Colts will be…well Peyton Manning and the Colts. It won’t be a classic shoot out, punters will get some field time but I think it could be a game decided by who has the ball last. It’s going to be good, Go Texans.

Chiefs lose to Jags

Nothing would make me happier than the Jags losing to a bad team but the Chiefs are too bad. The Jags have more talent and should make easy work of the Chiefs.

New England over Miami

New England needs to win this game. Actually they really want to win this game. I think this game could go either way but my money’s on the Pats.

Bucs lose to the Pack

So enter Josh Freeman, the Bucs rookie quarterback, the third quarterback and the second by the name of Josh. The Bucs might be better but probably not this week. This will be a frustrating game for Freeman and Bucs fans.

New Orleans stay undefeated against Panthers

I keep hearing about a Panthers upset, but I’m not buying it. The Panthers defense might be improving and the offense is starting to click but the Saints are amazing and still the better team. The Panthers might give Brees unexpected trouble but I think that’s the closest this game is getting to an upset.

Seahawks over Lions

The Seahawks need a win to get going and they will probably take it against a struggling Lions team.

Giants over Chargers

The Chargers are on a winning streak and the Giants are digging themselves a hole. Not to mention that this is the “2005 Let’s Swap QBs” Bowl. This is going to be one tough fought game. I think that the Giants are the better team so I’m going with them.

Titans lose to ‘Niners

Looking at my picks I’m thinking this is going to be another tough week. Most of these games are too close to call for me. This is another good match up and I’m picking Niners because the Titans defense has been horrible. I want to go with Chris Johnson running to a win but my gut tells me Niners will find a way.

Philly over Dallas

Hey, let’s get two streaky teams and give them a primetime game! I’m going with Eagles because their defense should fair better than Dallas’. Oh man, I’m going to consult a grammar book but I’m pretty sure that apostrophe is correct there. Harkins? Dallas is tough to pick in games you think they can lose on their own. Who ever wins this game gets to be Division Champ until New York beats them.

Pittsburgh beats Denver

This could very well be a nice good defensive game. I like shoot outs as much as the next guy but every now and then I need a good old school defensive smack down. While I do think Denver is good I’m not sure if their as good as their record indicates right now. I think Pittsburgh takes ‘em down a notch on MNF. Plus Coach Mike Tomlin is 4-0 on Monday nights.

Sorry Cowboys fans, but out of respect I won’t even pretend that I have no bias against your team. I had a great weekend of football! And when we look at my predictions for week two I went 10 and 6. For week one I was stronger, I was 12 and 4. Which brings my total to 22-10, not too shabby. Once again I would like to say that I’m just a fan, not any kind of expert. (But I am quite awesome).

First of all, my Texans went and fought hard against the Titans. We came away with a victory and Titans fans…I don’t want to hear about the officiating because those calls were legit. It stinks when the calls don’t go your way but that’s how it goes some times. When you look at the numbers that was a tough, gritty football game and both teams could have won it at some point. It makes me angry that this game has little to no national recognition. It was a great game and both teams played well, why does no one care outside of Houston and Tennessee? Titans, good game. I hope this helps out in making this rivalry less lopsided. See you on primetime for MNF!

Tony Romo is a chump. Okay, he’s not a total chump but I think he’s one of the most over-rated QB of the decade. Dallas is a good team and will have a good season but the Texan in me likes to see them lose.

Peyton Manning and the Colts had a good Monday Night outing. I mean, so did the Dolphins but they choked in the end. I’m sure The Big Tuna is not going to be happy about the clock management in the end. If you haven’t been watching fourth quarters this week you need to start paying attention. Man, I’m so stoked about football I’m not even checking my grammar. It’s about to get conversational and ghetto in this blog.

What about the Jets? I know that everyone jumped on the Jets bandwaggon, but after last week I believed in their defense. That is some tough stuff. The Jets are going to have some offense troubles as time goes on but my money is that their defense will be consistent.

Well, it’s getting late and I haven’t said much. Plus I don’t feel like proofreading…where’s that publish button…
