Looking Back All The Way To the Year 2000!
As football season has already began to draw to a close, I have been pondering what my writing project shall be. The main purpose of this blog is to keep me in the practice of writing. Football was an easy choice because it would keep me posting at least once a week. Now that football season is coming to a close, hopefully not sooner than later for Texans fans, I need to find something to keep me in the practice of posting regularly. If not this blog could turn into me writing about my own life and short stories that are hit-or-miss once every three months.
I’m pleased to announce that I will dedicate at least the next six months to reviewing the box office hits of the year 2000. That’s right, I will go back in time to ten years ago and watch the movies we loved…or at least paid money to see. What became of the actors and directors? Did the movie reflect the time? Is the movie still relevant, and so on. It should be fun. Or at least interesting. I’m giving it it’s own category for easy reference, it’s under Films in the new subcategory In The Year 2000.

NFL Week Five
To be honest I don’t know if I’m excited about any of the games this week. I don’t know maybe I just feel a little blah, I don’t know. Maybe I might have watched to much “Project Runway” and lost my passion for watching sports, I don’t know. I think maybe now that I have a netbook and it’s easier to write maybe I don’t want to write anymore. Maybe now that it’s easy I don’t want to try. The thrill of the hunt is gone I don’t know what I’m talking about, let’s get back to football. I mean, I’m going to look at these games again and see what pops out…Yeah maybe Atlanta/San Fransico might be my favorite matchup…what’s with that.
Cincy losses to Baltimore. Okay, this might be the best game of the week. Great matchup for AFC North.
Buffalo over Cleveland. The Bills offense will prevail over the Browns defense.
Carolina beats Washington and shows everyone how much Washington really stinks.
Pittsburgh beats Detroit. I know its a risky pick, but I stand by it…
KC over Dallas. KC is at home, needs a win, and Romo loves finding ways to lose.
I’m going out on another limb to say the Giants beat the Raiders.
Philly over the hapless Bucs.
Minnesota over St. Louis. (Another wildly unpopular pick.)
I say the Niners beat ATL, tough game though.
Houston over the Cardinals, because the Cards offense hasn’t ignited and the Texans defense is trying to step up. The Texans offense will be fine.
New England over Denver.
Jacksonville over the Seahawks.
Indy over the Titans.
and…I’m going with the Jets over Miami.

It’s Football Time
That’s right America. The time is here. And don’t try to tell I lie Joe Wilson, because I’m speaking 100 % truth. As a Houston Texans fan I was exstatic to see the Steelers beat the Titans in overtime in Thursday Night Football. But the Titans do look tough this season. I’m ready for football.
In other news in my life. I tried to write this while watching the movie Bolt and I have to admit. That movie grabbed my heart. But it’s sort of like The Truman Show and Toy Story combined.
