NFL Week Five

To be honest I don’t know if I’m excited about any of the games this week. I don’t know maybe I just feel a little blah, I don’t know. Maybe I might have watched to much “Project Runway” and lost my passion for watching sports, I don’t know. I think maybe now that I have a netbook and it’s easier to write maybe I don’t want to write anymore. Maybe now that it’s easy I don’t want to try. The thrill of the hunt is gone I don’t know what I’m talking about, let’s get back to football. I mean, I’m going to look at these games again and see what pops out…Yeah maybe Atlanta/San Fransico might be my favorite matchup…what’s with that.

Cincy losses to Baltimore. Okay, this might be the best game of the week. Great matchup for AFC North.

Buffalo over Cleveland. The Bills offense will prevail over the Browns defense.

Carolina beats Washington and shows everyone how much Washington really stinks.

Pittsburgh beats Detroit. I know its a risky pick, but I stand by it…

KC over Dallas. KC is at home, needs a win, and Romo loves finding ways to lose.

I’m going out on another limb to say the Giants beat the Raiders.

Philly over the hapless Bucs.

Minnesota over St. Louis. (Another wildly unpopular pick.)

I say the Niners beat ATL, tough game though.

Houston over the Cardinals, because the Cards offense hasn’t ignited and the Texans defense is trying to step up. The Texans offense will be fine.

New England over Denver.

Jacksonville over the Seahawks.

Indy over the Titans.

and…I’m going with the Jets over Miami.

Dang! Rough week, Paul! Unless there is a massive turnaround. Kubiak is out by week eight. The play calling was absolutely horrendous at the end of the game. Also, I am definitely questoining Shaub’s toughness. He could have run for that touchdown at the end of the game. There were also a couple of firstdowns that he could have scrambled for.

Disgruntled and ready for the basketball season.

I’m also not going to lie. I would like to see the Yankees and the Dodgers in the World Series, just because I want to see Manny and Jeter in a fist fight. I say Jeter goes down early in the fourth.

It was a rough week, but those games were all just too close on paper for me. It took forever to even try and pick. But whatever, at least I’m losing money…yet.

But I tell you Harkins, you might be right about Kubiak. If he loses all of his games and keeps up the terrible job he might be out. All of the fans are calling for his head but you never know with owners.

And yeah I’d be cool with a Yankees/Dodgers WS and I hope this is the only time I ever say that in my life. I say you and me spend this week searching for a new job for Jose Cruz.

Joe Torre facing his former team would be awesome. Now that I live in Brooklyn I am rooting for the Dodgers all the way. Phillies have been playing not to shabby though.

The Phillies are a tough team my man. I’m just going to throw this out there Timmy: I think it’s hilarious that you call them the Brooklyn Dodgers. But at the same time I’m glad you didn’t move to NYC and become a Yankees fan. I really liked the Angels this year but I don’t think they’ll make it.
